EVENT PAYMENT, CANCELLATION AND TRANSFER POLICY
By completing the registration and payment for an event, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Event Terms.
1. Event-specific payments
Payment is made for participation in the specific event identified at the time of purchase, including its stated date, time, location and programme.
For events and entertainment services provided on a specific date or during a specific period, the statutory right of withdrawal applicable to ordinary distance contracts does not apply where the applicable Latvian legislation provides for such an exception.
2. Cancellation by the participant
Once payment has been completed, the payment is non-refundable if the participant subsequently decides not to attend or is otherwise unable to attend, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly provided for under these Terms.
As an alternative to a refund, a participant who cannot attend may request that their registration/payment be transferred to another eligible event organised by Business Network Global / CEO Advisory Groups within 12 months from the original purchase date.
Any transfer is subject to availability and may be subject to the format, capacity and conditions of the alternative event.
3. Transfer to another person
Where appropriate, the participant may request to transfer their place to another person, subject to prior approval by the organiser and the requirements applicable to the particular event.
The organiser may require the replacement participant's name and contact details before approving the transfer.
4. Event postponement or change by the organiser
If the organiser postpones an event, the participant will be offered participation in the rescheduled event.
Where the participant cannot attend the rescheduled event, the organiser may offer the participant the option to transfer the original payment to another eligible event within 12 months from the original purchase date.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights or remedies that the participant may have under applicable Latvian or European Union law if the organiser fails to provide the service that was agreed.
5. Event cancellation by the organiser
If the organiser cancels an event and does not provide a rescheduled event or an appropriate alternative event, the organiser will handle the participant's payment in accordance with applicable Latvian law and the circumstances of the cancellation.
6. Non-attendance
A participant's failure to attend an event, without exercising a statutory right or another right expressly provided under these Terms, does not by itself create an entitlement to a refund.
7. Corporate and business purchases
Where participation is purchased by a company or another person acting for business purposes, the contractual relationship may be governed by the terms applicable to business-to-business transactions rather than consumer-protection rules applicable to consumers.
8. Mandatory rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any mandatory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable Latvian or European Union legislation.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
9. Acceptance
By completing payment, the participant confirms that they have had the opportunity to review these Event Terms before completing the purchase and agrees to be bound by them to the extent permitted by applicable law.
